Spacewise

Privacy

Last updated: October 2026

Short version: Spacewise analyzes your disk entirely on your Mac. It has no account, no analytics and no tracking. Nothing is sent anywhere unless you write feedback or choose to share a crash report.

What stays on your Mac

File names, folder sizes, scan results, the apps you have installed and everything you remove. Spacewise reads file sizes and dates to build its map and never uploads them.

Feedback you send

When you use “Send Feedback” in the app or the form on this site, we receive your message, your email address if you add one, and — if you leave “Include system info” on — the app version, macOS version and Mac model. It's delivered to the developer's private Discord channel and email, used only to reply and improve Spacewise, and never sold or shared.

Crash reports (optional)

If Spacewise quits unexpectedly, it asks the next time you open it whether to send the crash report macOS created. You can send once, always, or never, and change this anytime in Spacewise › Settings. A crash report contains technical details — the app version, macOS version, Mac model and the code that was running — and may include file paths. It's used only to fix bugs.

Early access & future payments

Spacewise is currently in free early access, so we don't collect any payment information. If a paid version launches, purchases will be handled by a payment provider acting as merchant of record under its own privacy policy, and this page will be updated before that happens.

Updates

To check for new versions, Spacewise downloads a small update feed from spacewise.jjlabs.app about once a day. When an update is available, it's downloaded from downloads.jjlabs.app. These requests identify only the app and its version, never you or your files. We count update checks per version to estimate how many copies are in use. You can turn automatic checks off in Spacewise › Settings.

Website

This site uses no cookies and no third-party analytics. We count page views and downloads ourselves, anonymously: each count records only the page or app version, the day and the visitor's country. No IP address, browser details or identifier is stored, and the totals are public on our open stats page. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP addresses) for security for a short time.

Deleting your data

Ask us to delete any feedback or crash reports you've sent using the feedback form, and we'll do so.
