Find out where your Mac's storage really went.
Spacewise accounts for every byte on your disk — even the “System Data” Finder won't explain — then helps you clear caches, build junk, app leftovers and duplicates. Safely, through the Trash.
Everything you need to reclaim space.
Nothing you don't.
No “RAM boosters”, no fake scores, no nag screens. Just clear answers and safe cleanup.
Where's My Space
Reads your disk's real layout — macOS, Recovery, swap, apps, snapshots — so “System Data” finally makes sense.
Space Map
An interactive map of every folder. Click to dive in, right-click to reveal or remove. Folder sizes listed alongside.
Smart Cleanup
Caches, logs, Mail downloads, Trash — each marked Safe or Review first, with what's inside before you decide.
App Uninstaller
Removes apps with their leftovers, matched by app ID. Finds junk left behind by apps you deleted years ago, too.
True duplicates
Matched by size and SHA-256 fingerprint — not by name — so only real copies show up. Keep newest or oldest in one click.
Large & forgotten files
Sort by size or age. Find the 20 GB video export and the installer you downloaded in 2022.
Your build tools are hoarding gigabytes.
Spacewise knows where Android, iOS and web toolchains hide their caches — and which ones regenerate on the next build.
Other cleaners have deleted people's apps.
Spacewise is built so it can't.
We read hundreds of one-star reviews of Mac cleaners. The worst ones: apps deleted without warning, fake “90 GB to clean” claims, and paywalls after the scan. Spacewise is designed around the opposite.
You see everything before anything moves.
- Trash first. Removals go to the Trash, so you can put anything back.
- Protected locations. macOS system folders, Keychains, Mail data and your main folders can't even be selected.
- Nothing pre-ticked unless it's safe. “Review first” items and possible matches always start unchecked.
- Full paths, real sizes. No vague totals — every file is listed.
- Private. Scans run on your Mac. No account, no tracking. Nothing leaves your Mac unless you send feedback or choose to share a crash report.
Free while we build it with you.
Spacewise is in early access: every feature is unlocked and free to use. In return, we'd love to hear what works, what breaks and what's missing.
What early access means
- Everything is free and unlocked. No account, no trial timer.
- Things will change. Features, design and names may evolve based on feedback, and some features may move into a paid version later.
- Expect a few rough edges. If something breaks, Spacewise can send us the crash report (only if you say yes).
- Updates arrive automatically. Fixes and new features install with one click.
- Your feedback shapes it. Every message reaches the developer directly.
What's next
- ReadyDisk breakdown, Space Map, Cleanup, App Uninstaller, Duplicates
- NextMenu bar indicator for free space
- NextLogin & background items cleanup
- Next“Recently removed” list with one-click undo
- LaterPaid version (a one-time purchase is planned) — early access users will hear first
This roadmap is a plan, not a promise. It will change as we learn.
Questions, answered.
What is early access?
Spacewise works today, but it's still growing. During early access it's free, everything is unlocked, and features may change based on what users tell us. You'll get updates automatically.
Will it stay free?
Early access is free. Later we plan to offer a paid version, most likely a one-time purchase. Some features may become part of it. We'll announce any change well ahead of time, and early access users will hear first.
What is “System Data” and can Spacewise clear it?
It's macOS's catch-all for caches, logs, Time Machine snapshots, swap and app data. Spacewise splits it into named parts, shows which macOS frees by itself, and lets you clear the parts that are safe — like app caches and developer build data.
Why does it ask for Full Disk Access?
Without it, macOS hides folders like Mail, Safari and the Trash from every app, so sizes would be incomplete — and macOS would ask permission folder by folder. Spacewise only reads file sizes and dates to build your map.
Can it delete something important?
System locations are protected and can't be selected, and everything goes to the Trash first, so you can put things back. Items that need judgement are marked “Review first” and never pre-selected. As with any early access software, keep a backup (Time Machine) of anything important.
Does any of my data leave my Mac?
No. Scans and analysis happen entirely on your Mac. The only things ever sent are feedback you write and, if you choose, crash reports. See our privacy policy.
Is it on the Mac App Store?
Not yet. App Store apps run in a sandbox that blocks the deep disk access Spacewise needs, so the full version is distributed directly — signed and notarized by Apple.
Which Macs are supported?
macOS 13 Ventura or later, on Apple Silicon and Intel.
